LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Two women were found beaten to death in bushes behind a Bonita Bay home in December 2020.
In a newly released case file, Lee County detectives confirm two women with severe facial trauma were beaten inside the home, moved outside, thrown into bushes behind the home’s pool, then covered with white towels.
The homeowner, Dorothy Breen, was one of the victims.
Investigators believe Terry Cunningham killed the women, then killed himself.
Cunningham allegedly cleaned the house after killing the women, drove to his condo, went back to Breen’s home, called 911 to report the deaths, then shot himself with a shotgun.
The motive of the double-murder is unknown.
