CAPE CORAL, Fla. – When drivers look up along Pine Island Road in Cape Coral, they are now transported all the way back to 1996.
Hurricane Ian recently blew away the wrapping on one of the popular road’s billboards. Left now is an ad for a 1996 Dodge Caravan. “I was shocked that there was actually a billboard behind the billboard,” Jay Ganzi, the managing partner of Cape Coral Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, said. His dealership is just down the road from the newly resurfaced ad.
The billboard shows a picture of a red Dodge Caravan along with the words “See Your Gold Star Dodge Dealer”.
“I would love to say there has been a mass Caravan demand, but there has not,” Jay said.
While Cape Coral Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram does have a few Caravans for sale, the car was discontinued in 2020.
