CAPE CORAL, Fla. – Farmer Joe’s Market in Cape Coral opened its doors to the public Tuesday morning.
Final approval from the fire marshal set back the store’s opening date, but owner Lee Snyder said everything is set for business.
The grocery store is located at 1401 SW Pine Island Road and is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Snyder said the store is home to the state’s largest produce selection that is bought from local farms in southwest Florida.
Snyder said this gives customers the opportunity to shop farm to table right from the store.
During its first week of business, Cape Coral police will help direct traffic and overflow parking.
More than 500 employees were hired to help open the store. Snyder said more full-time and part-time jobs are still available in every department.
