COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – A St. Petersburg man is facing charges after troopers said he was found with multiple stolen identities during a traffic stop Monday.
Eric Lemon, 42, was arrested in Collier County around 12:30 p.m. accused of having over 20 stolen identities, credit cards, and more, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Lemon was riding in the passenger seat of a Maserati on I-75 when the car was pulled over by troopers due to the window tint, troopers said.
Troopers searched the vehicle after they said the driver seemed nervous and a K-9 alerted to something in the car.
Lemon had three wallets and three cellphones, according to the arrest report. A bag of cash in small bills was also found in the car.
One wallet contained a social security card, six debit/credit cards, two Florida IDs, three food stamp cards, nine gift cards, and a piece of paper with five different names, license numbers and social security numbers written on it.
Five of the nine gift cards had been re-encoded with stolen debit/credit card numbers, troopers said. The second wallet revealed another re-encoded gift card and two debit cards with different identities.
Lemon is facing charges of fraud including possession of stolen debit/credit cards and, possession of five or more identities.
The driver told troopers the bag of cash was meant for the strip club.
Lemon was taken to the Collier County Jail.
